Coach Prime wore a big smile as the game wound down last Thursday night in Atlanta. His Buffaloes held on for a one- point win, upsetting Georgia Tech by blocking a last second field goal attempt to win 14-13.

But coaching success vs Georgia Tech is new, as Tech beat the Buffaloes 27-20 last year in Boulder.

The icing on the cake for Sanders was the surprise presence of his son Shedeur who dropped in from Cleveland to be on the Buffs sideline with his father and his former team.

Coach Prime was happy to savor an upset in game one for Colorado, and with Weber State next up, there's a good chance the Buffaloes will get out to a 2-0 start in 2026.
