Jackets Take the Stage in Charlotte in Quarterfinals vs Virginia

Georgia Tech opens their ACC tournament on Thursday. Game time was adjusted to 11am for weather concerns.
The Cavaliers got here courtesy of their day prior 6-4 win over Duke. Today's assignment promises to be a bigger challenge for Virginia, what with Tech's gaudy offensive numbers. And they are impressive, including a league best- and hard to believe– 10.7 runs per game average.
But Tech coach James Ramsey knows that stats don't mean much once the game starts.
" We know we're going to get everyone's best, he said in an interview with Rod McKenzie earlier in the week. No doubt that Georgia Tech is a big target for all of these teams, and for some, a win over the Jackets would be a sweet touch, maybe a season highlight.
Meanwhile, the Jackets want to take better advantage of their top seed than they did a year ago when they fell to Clemson in the quarterfinals in Durham.
